Kelly Tarltons

On Wednesday 25th October room 9 and 10 went to Kelly Tarltons on a bus  so we can learn about Kelly Tarltons.

When we got there we went into Robert Falcon Scott’s hut and  in there we saw a bunk beds, his clothing, a piano,books, a projector,  an axe and a pick axe.

Then we went to see the penguins. When we got there we saw Sakura feeding the penguins and we saw some sleeping. Some were trying to keep their eggs warm and we saw some swimming.

Then we went into the classroom and we talked about sharks and pollution. We talked about how  we can  help to make the sea a better place and then we saw a guy going fishing. Then we saw two guys building a house made out of water bottles.

After that we had lunch, then we went to scan our picture and watch it come to life. Then we went to this machine where you have to put your hands in a very very cold water so Gideon and i put our hands in the water and we held it for 1 minute.

Then we got on to the bus and we went back to school and i had a fun time at Kelly Tarltons.

What i liked about  Kelly Tarltons is you get to see all sea animals while you are on the travelator and it was  an awesome  day ever.

Steve Irwin

Did you know that Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter was a conservationist and  the host of his own television show. He also actively worked towards these causes with the establishment of the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation (now Wildlife Warriors Worldwide), the International Crocodile Rescue, Lyn Irwin Memorial Fund, and Ironbark Station Wildlife Rehabilitation Facility.

4 .Despite working with dangerous animal like crocodiles and snakes, Steve’s greatest fear was of parrots.

3 .His daughter, Bindi Sue, got her name from Steve’s Staffordshire bull terrier (named Sui) and his favorite crocodile (named Bindi).

My strategy

1. Tim got  some songs on  his phone. He downloaded another 128 songs and he now has 162 songs in total. How many songs were on his phone  when he first got it?
100-100=0
60-20=40
8-2=6
40-6=34

2.  There are 22 boxes. Each box holds 9 bottles of juice. How many bottles are there altogether
9x20=180
9x2=18
180+18
=198
